Transparency: acceptable use, abuse reports and the data we hold
A service that sells phone numbers without identity checks should be clear about how they may be used. This page sets out our rules, how we enforce them, how to report abuse, and what data exists about an account.
It summarizes our Acceptable Use Policy, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; those documents prevail.
What you may use a number for
You may use your numbers to receive verification codes for accounts you are entitled to create and use, and for ordinary messages and calls. Every number is assigned to one account and stays with it while renewed.
What is not allowed
- Fraud, phishing and impersonation.
- Spam, harassment and threats.
- Illegal content.
- Evading bans or law enforcement.
- Creating accounts in bulk to abuse third-party services.
- Any activity that is unlawful where you or the recipient are located.
How we enforce the rules
Under the Acceptable Use Policy we may suspend or reclaim numbers that violate it, without refund, and we cooperate with lawful requests. Under the Terms of Service we may also suspend or close accounts that violate the Terms.
Staff access the messages on a number only when needed for support or abuse investigations.
How to report abuse
Anyone can report abuse involving an SMSCreation number. Abuse reports are prioritised and handled under the Acceptable Use Policy.
- 01Email support@smscreation.com with the subject “Abuse report”.
- 02Include the number involved, in full international format.
- 03Attach any evidence: screenshots, message text, dates and times.
- 04Say briefly what happened.
Data we hold and data we don't
Because we don't run KYC, the data about an account is limited to what it takes to run the service. The Privacy Policy lists it, and this is the complete picture of what exists.
- We hold
- Your email address and an optional name
- We hold
- Your numbers, the SMS they receive and their call records
- We hold
- Payment metadata: amounts, network and transaction references
- We don't hold
- Identity documents, passports, selfies or proof of address
- We don't hold
- Card or bank details, since payment is crypto only
- We don't hold
- A phone number used to sign up; none is needed
Who data is shared with
We share only what upstream telecom partners and our payment infrastructure need to deliver the service, and each service provider receives only the data it needs for its task. We never sell data or share it with advertisers. You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your data through support@smscreation.com.
What happens to numbers after expiry
A number is yours for as long as you keep it renewed; numbers auto-renew from your wallet balance when enabled. If the balance is insufficient, the number may be suspended after a short grace period and released afterwards, and it can return to the pool.
After 7 days from activation, the payment for the current term is non-refundable, and the number stays yours until the end of the term you paid for. If you use a number for account recovery, keep it renewed, or move recovery to another method before letting it expire.
Price, ownership and guarantee
Numbers cost from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan ($21.60 billed yearly) in all 181 countries, with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 outgoing call minutes a month. The number stays yours while renewed, and the 7-day replacement guarantee gives you a free replacement in the same country or a 100% refund if it doesn't work with the apps you need.
