A UK mobile number for Discord verification
Discord's phone check appears at awkward moments: halfway through joining a server set to the Highest verification level, or after its safety system decides your recent activity looks automated. Either way, you can't carry on until a code sent by SMS to a real mobile number is typed back in.
For UK-based communities, clans, study groups and creator servers, a +44 number keeps the account's phone local. For anyone who wants a Discord account that doesn't expose their personal mobile, a separate British number does that job, with one rule to remember: Discord puts a number on only one account at a time.
Below: what triggers Discord's prompt, the UK formatting mistakes that produce an “invalid phone number” error, and how an SMSCreation UK number fits in.
What a UK number does for a Discord account
Many British users run more than one Discord account, for example a personal one and one for a community they moderate. Every phone-verified account needs its own number, because Discord won't let the same number sit on two accounts together. A dedicated +44 mobile gives the second account a verified phone without touching your own SIM.
It also keeps things tidy if you later switch UK carriers or give up a work phone: the Discord account stays on a number you control through a web dashboard.
What sets off Discord's phone prompt
Once a phone is verified, every lower server verification level is satisfied as well.
- Joining a lot of servers in a short time.
- Messaging many people who aren't on your friends list.
- Posting faster than a person normally could, or using a third-party client.
- Entering a server whose moderators chose the Highest verification level, where a verified phone is required to chat or use voice.
Pick your United Kingdom number
These United Kingdom numbers are listed right now (32 in total). Choose one on the country page; the hidden digits are assigned when your order is approved and the number is activated.
The UK format Discord expects
At home, UK mobiles are written 07400 123456, eleven digits including the 0. After +44 the 0 has to go: +44 7400 123456. Writing +44 07400 123456 is the most common reason a British number is refused as invalid, and Discord's own fix for that error is to re-enter the number in international format with the correct country code.
Not every 07 number is a mobile. Ofcom reserves 070 for personal numbering services and 076 for pagers, and neither is what Discord means by a mobile. Real mobile ranges are 071–075 and 077–079, which is where SMSCreation's UK numbers sit.

Verifying Discord with a UK number, step by step
- 01Order a UK number in SMSCreation and read the full number in your dashboard.
- 02In Discord, press Start Verification, or add the phone under User Settings → My Account.
- 03Select +44 and type the number starting with 7, without the 0.
- 04Copy the SMS code from your dashboard inbox into Discord.
- 05Protect the account with an authenticator app or passkey; you can then enable SMS Authentication as a backup.
- 06Keep auto-renew on so the number stays attached and reachable.
Fixing common Discord phone errors
- “This phone number is unable to be associated with this account”: the number is on another Discord account. Remove it there, or use another number.
- “Invalid phone number”: check for the +44 07 mistake, a typo, or a number that isn't a mobile.
- Rate limit or “recently used”: Discord wants you to wait 24–48 hours before using that number again.
- The SMS doesn't arrive: confirm the country code and digits, then request a new code; our guide on codes not received has the full checklist.
- A captcha that keeps failing is a separate Discord security step; contact Discord Support at dis.gd/contact.
What to keep in mind
Discord treats SMS as a backup sign-in method, not the main one: you need an authenticator app or passkey first, and Discord itself warns against relying on SMS alone because of SIM-swap attacks. Store your backup codes somewhere safe. A verified phone lifts Discord's prompt, but moderators can still apply their own server rules.
Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google
Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.
And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.
- Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
- Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
- Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
- Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
- Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working
Price and keeping your +44 number
A UK number is from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan ($21.60 billed yearly), with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 outgoing minutes a month. It remains yours for as long as it renews.
If the number doesn't work for Discord verification, the 7-day replacement guarantee gives you a free replacement UK number within 7 days of activation, or a 100% refund. A number with no calls or SMS can be refunded within 7 days, no questions asked.

Questions
Why does Discord say my UK number is invalid?
Usually because the 0 is still there after +44. Enter the number as +44 7XXX XXXXXX. If the format is right, check that it's a real mobile and not a 070 or 076 number.
Do I need a UK number to join a UK Discord server?
No. Discord's server verification levels ask for a verified phone number, not a number from a particular country. A UK number is simply the local choice if you're part of British communities.
Can one UK number verify two Discord accounts?
Not together. Discord allows a number on one account at a time. Remove it from the first account in User Settings → My Account before adding it to the second.
Can I use my UK number for Discord two-factor sign-in?
As a backup, yes. Set up an authenticator app or passkey first, then press Enable SMS Authentication. Keep your backup codes too, as Discord advises against relying on SMS alone.
How long must I wait after a “recently used” error?
Discord asks you to wait 24–48 hours before trying the same number again.
Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?
Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
