An Indian mobile number for Discord verification
Whether you run an esports team, a coding community or a study server in India, sooner or later you may meet the same gate as everyone else: a server set to the Highest verification level, or a “Verification Required” prompt after activity Discord considers suspicious. Both need an SMS code sent to a real mobile.
Indians are used to OTPs for everything, so the step itself is familiar. The detail that catches people is formatting: a leading 0 or a repeated 91 turns a valid ten-digit number into something Discord can't text.
This page covers what triggers Discord's phone check, how to write a +91 number for it, the errors you may see, and what an SMSCreation Indian number includes.
Why an Indian number for Discord
Many people keep a personal Discord account and a separate one for the servers they moderate or the bots they run. Discord lets a phone number sit on only one account at a time, so each verified account needs its own number. An Indian number that isn't your everyday SIM gives the second account a verified phone and keeps your personal mobile, the one your bank and delivery apps know, off it.
Indians studying or working abroad also use a +91 number to keep accounts tied to India without carrying a second handset or paying roaming.
When Discord asks for a phone
- After joining many servers in a short span, or sending lots of messages to people who aren't friends.
- When your activity is faster than a person could manage, or you use a third-party client.
- When a server's moderators have set the Highest verification level, which requires a verified phone to chat or join voice.
- When you add SMS as a backup login method, after setting up an authenticator app or passkey.

Writing a +91 number for Discord
Indian mobile numbers are ten digits long and start with 6, 7, 8 or 9. In international format that's +91 followed by the ten digits. Some people put a 0 in front, a habit from dialling landlines, and others type 91 again after selecting the country code. Either mistake produces an invalid number.
Discord's help centre says an “invalid phone number” error can come from a mistyped number, one that doesn't match the country's numbering plan, or a VoIP, burner or landline number, and recommends re-entering it in international format with the right country code.

Step by step with an Indian number
- 01Buy an Indian number in SMSCreation and copy the ten digits from your dashboard.
- 02In Discord, press Start Verification, or go to User Settings → My Account to add a phone.
- 03Choose +91 and type the ten digits, with no 0 and no extra 91.
- 04Open the SMS inbox in your dashboard, where the code appears, and enter it.
- 05Set up an authenticator app or passkey, then enable SMS Authentication if you want an SMS backup.
- 06Keep auto-renew on so the number keeps receiving Discord's texts.
Common errors, and the fix
- “Unable to be associated with this account”
- The number is linked to another Discord account; remove it there first or use a different number.
- “Invalid phone number”
- Check for a 0 or double 91, a typo, or a non-mobile number.
- “Recently used” or rate limit
- Wait 24–48 hours before trying the number again.
- SMS not arriving
- Recheck the digits and country code, then request another code.
- Captcha that won't pass
- A Discord security step; contact Discord Support at dis.gd/contact.
What an Indian number won't do
It won't verify two Discord accounts at once, because Discord allows a number on one account at a time. It also isn't a replacement for proper two-factor security: Discord wants an authenticator app or passkey as the main method and warns that SMS alone is exposed to SIM-swap attacks. And an SMSCreation Indian number is meant for codes, messages and calls, not for UPI, which binds to the SIM inside your own phone.
Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google
Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.
And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.
- Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
- Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
- Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
- Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
- Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working
Price and keeping your Indian number
An Indian number is from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan ($21.60 billed yearly), with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 outgoing minutes a month. It stays yours for as long as it renews.
If the number doesn't work for Discord verification, the 7-day replacement guarantee gives you a free replacement Indian number within 7 days of activation, or a 100% refund. If you haven't used it for any call or SMS, you can get a refund within 7 days, no questions asked.

Questions
Why does Discord reject my Indian number?
Most often a 0 or an extra 91 has crept in. Enter +91 and exactly ten digits beginning with 6–9. If the format is right, the number may already be on another Discord account or in the 24–48 hour timeout.
Is phone verification required to use Discord in India?
Not for everyone. Discord asks when its safety system wants extra proof or when you join a server set to the Highest verification level. Many users never see the prompt.
Can I use one Indian number for my main and alt Discord accounts?
Not at the same time. Discord links a number to one account at a time. Give each account its own number, or remove it from one before adding it to the other.
Does Discord send the code by call or WhatsApp in India?
Discord's verification works by SMS: you press Start Verification, enter a mobile number, and type the code from the text message.
Can I make my Indian number the only 2FA on Discord?
No. Discord requires an authenticator app or passkey first and only then lets you add SMS as a backup method.
Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?
Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
