A US mobile number for Discord phone verification
Discord doesn't ask every user for a phone number. It asks when its safety systems want proof there's a person behind an account, and when you try to chat in a server that the moderators have set to the Highest verification level. Both moments stop you until an SMS code reaches a real mobile number.
If the communities you run or the team you moderate with are based in the US, a +1 mobile is the natural fit. It also keeps your Discord identity on a line of its own instead of your personal SIM, which matters because Discord lets one number sit on only one account at a time.
This page explains when Discord asks, how to type a +1 number so the SMS arrives, what to do about common phone errors, and what an SMSCreation US number includes.
Why a US number for Discord
Community managers, moderators and people who run bots or servers for US audiences often keep a separate Discord account for that work. Discord binds a phone number to one account at a time, so each account that needs phone verification needs its own number. A US mobile that isn't your personal SIM lets you keep a community or moderator account fully separate from your private one.
For users outside the US, a +1 number also means the verified account isn't tied to a local SIM you might replace when you move or change carriers.
When Discord asks for a phone
A verified phone also satisfies every lower verification level, so once your US number is on the account, those server gates are handled too.
- A “Verification Required” prompt after activity Discord associates with spam: joining many servers quickly, messaging lots of non-friends, posting at inhuman speed, or using a third-party client.
- Joining or chatting in a server set to the Highest verification level, which requires a verified phone before members can send messages or enter voice channels.
- Adding SMS as a backup sign-in method after you've set up an authenticator app or passkey.
Pick your United States number
These United States numbers are listed right now (31 in total). Choose one on the country page; the hidden digits are assigned when your order is approved and the number is activated.
Typing a US number for Discord
US numbers are +1, a three-digit area code and seven digits, ten digits after the country code with no leading 0. The mistake that breaks the most US entries is doubling the 1: if the country code is already +1, typing 1 201 555 0123 afterwards gives eleven digits. Discord's own advice for an “invalid phone number” error is to re-enter it in international format with the correct country code.
Area codes are shared by mobiles and landlines in the US, so the digits alone don't reveal the line type. Discord's check does, and it refuses landlines and VoIP lines. SMSCreation US numbers are real mobile numbers.

Step by step: verify Discord with a US number
- 01Buy a US number and copy its full ten digits from your SMSCreation dashboard.
- 02In Discord, press Start Verification on the prompt, or open User Settings → My Account to add a phone.
- 03Choose +1 and enter the ten digits, without an extra 1.
- 04Open your dashboard's SMS inbox and type the code into Discord.
- 05Set up an authenticator app or passkey, then enable SMS Authentication if you want the number as a backup.
- 06Keep the number renewing so it's there for future sign-ins.
Phone errors you might see
- “This phone number is unable to be associated with this account”
- The number is already on another Discord account. Remove it there first or use a different number.
- “Invalid phone number”
- A mistyped digit, the wrong country code, or a VoIP, burner or landline number.
- Rate limited or “recently used”
- The number was used for verification recently. Discord asks you to wait 24–48 hours.
- A captcha that won't clear
- An extra Discord security step, not a number problem; Discord Support can help at dis.gd/contact.
Honest caveats
- One number, one account: to reuse a US number on another account, remove it from the first.
- Discord says it doesn't recommend SMS alone for two-factor sign-in because of SIM-swap risk; keep your backup codes safe.
- Verifying a phone clears Discord's prompt, but it doesn't override a server's own rules or Discord's other safety checks.
Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google
Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.
And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.
- Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
- Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
- Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
- Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
- Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working
Price, keeping the number and the 7-day guarantee
A US number costs from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan, billed as $21.60 a year, with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 outgoing minutes a month. It stays yours while it renews, so a verified Discord account keeps a working phone behind it.
The 7-day replacement guarantee applies: if the number doesn't work for Discord verification, you get a free replacement US number within 7 days of activation, or a 100% refund. If you haven't used it for any call or SMS, you can also get a refund within 7 days, no questions asked.

Questions
Why does Discord keep asking me to verify a phone?
Discord shows “Verification Required” when activity resembles spam, such as joining many servers fast or messaging lots of people who aren't friends, and some servers demand a verified phone at the Highest level. Adding a real US mobile clears both.
Should I type the 1 before my US number on Discord?
Only once. The number should read +1 followed by ten digits. If +1 is already selected, don't type another 1, or the number becomes eleven digits and fails.
Can I use Google Voice or another internet number for Discord?
Discord says VoIP, burner and landline numbers can't be used for phone verification. You need a real mobile number, which is what an SMSCreation US number is.
Can my US number verify a second Discord account?
Not at the same time. Discord links a phone number to one account at a time, so remove it from the first account before adding it to another.
Discord says the number was recently used. What now?
Discord puts numbers into a timeout after recent verification use and asks you to wait 24–48 hours before trying that number again.
Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?
Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
