An Indian mobile number for Instagram

Indian creators, D2C brands, wedding photographers, coaching institutes and social media agencies all run on Instagram, and many of them want each profile secured by its own Indian number rather than the founder's or an employee's SIM. People living abroad who still run an Indian page have the same need: a +91 number that doesn't depend on a local SIM staying active.

SMSCreation's Indian number is a real mobile line reserved for you. Instagram's codes land in a browser inbox you control. Below: the ten-digit format, how Instagram confirms the number and asks again, the steps, and what an Indian number from us won't do.

01

Why an Indian number on Instagram

In India the mobile number is already the login for most apps, so a business profile's number quietly becomes its master key. If that key is an employee's personal SIM, the brand is exposed when the person leaves. A separate +91 number owned by the business keeps password resets and login codes under company control.

Agencies managing many pages benefit most: one Indian number per client account, codes in one dashboard, and a clean handover when a contract ends. Instagram keeps the number private, so followers never see it.

02

Entering a +91 number in Instagram

Indian mobiles are ten digits beginning with 6, 7, 8 or 9. In Instagram's country list choose India (+91) and type exactly those ten digits. Don't add a 0, which some people dial from landlines, and don't repeat 91, which the selector already supplies; either one makes the number too long.

If Instagram still rejects it, remove spaces and paste the plain digits from your SMSCreation dashboard, where the number is shown in the correct form.

How Instagram confirms the number and checks again

Adding the number makes Instagram send a 6-digit code by text; entering it confirms the number. To use SMS two-factor authentication you need a confirmed number, and the number entered while turning two-factor on becomes the confirmed one. After that, every login from a device Instagram doesn't recognize requires a new code.

Two-factor lives in Accounts Center > Password and security, or Meta Account settings on some profiles. You can choose text message or WhatsApp delivery, and download backup codes. Many Indian businesses expect first contact on WhatsApp, but for two-factor with an SMSCreation number the text message option is the straightforward choice, since SMS arrives straight in the dashboard. Save the backup codes offline; without the email, the phone or a linked Facebook account, Instagram can't give access back.

Step by step with an Indian number

  1. 01On SMSCreation, choose India and pick a listed mobile number.
  2. 02Pay in USDT or USDC; the full number appears in your dashboard once the payment is matched.
  3. 03In Instagram, open Accounts Center > Personal details, add a phone number and choose India (+91).
  4. 04Type the ten digits, request the code and copy the 6-digit SMS from your SMSCreation inbox.
  5. 05Under Password and security > Two-factor authentication, choose text message and confirm the number.
  6. 06Download the backup codes and keep them safe.

Honest caveats

  • The number is for Instagram codes, other OTPs and calls. UPI apps bind to the SIM in your handset by sending an SMS from it, so they can't be registered on this number.
  • An ID upload or video selfie request is an identity check that only the account owner can pass.
  • Instagram may ask you to re-confirm a number that was never confirmed or hasn't been updated for a long time; one code settles it.
  • If Instagram doesn't accept the number within 7 days of activation, you get a free replacement Indian number.
07

IST and access from anywhere

India runs on IST, UTC+5:30, with no clock changes. A login code sent at midnight in Mumbai, or while you are traveling in Dubai or London, appears in the dashboard straight away, without roaming.

Keep the number renewed. A confirmed number that lapses stops receiving reset codes, and that is usually discovered at the worst possible moment.

Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google

Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.

And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.

  • Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
  • Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
  • Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
  • Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
  • Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working

Price, keeping it and the 7-day guarantee

An Indian number costs from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan, $21.60 billed yearly, the same price in every country. It includes unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing texts and 1,000 outgoing minutes a month. If Instagram doesn't accept it within 7 days of activation, we replace it with another Indian number free or refund 100%, and an unused number can be refunded within 7 days, no questions asked.

Questions

Do I type 0 or 91 before my number in Instagram?

Neither. Choose India (+91) in the country list and type the ten digits starting with 6, 7, 8 or 9.

Can I use this Indian number for a business page run by my team?

Yes. The codes arrive in a dashboard the account owner controls, so the page doesn't depend on any team member's personal SIM.

Will followers see my Indian number?

No. Instagram keeps the phone numbers on an account private. They're used for login, recovery and security alerts.

Should I choose SMS or WhatsApp for Instagram two-factor?

Choose text message with an SMSCreation number, since SMS goes straight to your dashboard. Keep the backup codes too, whichever method you use.

Can I move my existing page to this number?

Yes. In Accounts Center > Password and security > Two-factor authentication, open the SMS method, choose a different phone number and confirm the new +91 number.

Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?

Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
