An Indian number for Telegram, on a real +91 mobile line

A +91 number gives a Telegram account an Indian identity that is fully separate from your personal SIM, which suits a channel for Indian readers, a study or trading group, or a second profile you'd rather keep apart.

The number is a real Indian mobile on the +91 plan, and Telegram links accounts to mobile numbers only. The login text arrives in your SMSCreation inbox, so NRIs and channel owners abroad can sign up without a SIM from India.

01

Why people want an Indian number for Telegram

Channel owners and community admins use an Indian number when their audience is in India, and NRIs use one to keep a local presence without a SIM from home. Telegram lets one installation hold several accounts, so the +91 profile can sit beside your existing one.

Because so many Indian apps log you in by OTP, the number doesn't have to be dedicated to Telegram alone; it can also receive codes for Indian shopping, travel and job sites.

02

Typing an Indian number into Telegram

Every Indian mobile number is ten digits long and opens with 6, 7, 8 or 9, so in international form it reads +91 81234 56789. Telegram shows +91 as soon as India is selected; the field then wants those ten digits and nothing more. Most 'invalid number' errors come from adding something: the 0 some people dial inside India (081234 56789), or a second 91 after the code (+91 91 81234 56789).

How Telegram verifies an Indian number, now and later

For a new account, Telegram sends a login code by SMS to the +91 number and it lands in your dashboard. If you're already signed in on another device, later codes may go to the “Telegram” chat there instead, marked with a blue check.

A new Indian account can't request a voice call; Telegram phones codes only to accounts with two-step verification. Its FAQ puts the stakes plainly, saying whoever has the number has the account, so the +91 line should stay renewed.

05

Telegram on your Indian number, step by step

  1. 01Create an SMSCreation account with an email, open India and choose a +91 number; the XX digits show after activation.
  2. 02Pay in USDT or USDC; after the on-chain match the full number is visible.
  3. 03In Telegram, choose India and enter the ten digits, e.g. 81234 56789.
  4. 04Read the SMS login code in your dashboard and type it into Telegram.
  5. 05Protect the account: Settings > Privacy and Security > Two-Step Verification, with a password and a recovery email.

Honest caveats for Telegram in India

  • Accounts inactive for 18 months are deleted by default; if your Indian channel account will be idle, raise that period in Settings.
  • UPI apps tie your account to the SIM inside your handset by sending a text from that phone. An Indian number you use in a web dashboard can't do that, so keep it for Telegram, OTP sign-ups and calls, not UPI.
  • IST is UTC+5:30 all year with no daylight saving, so a Telegram channel posting from India runs four and a half to five and a half hours ahead of London, depending on the season.
07

Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google

Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.

And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.

  • Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
  • Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
  • Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
  • Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
  • Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working

Price, keeping the number and the 7-day guarantee

An Indian number is from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan ($21.60 billed yearly). It covers unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing texts and 1,000 outgoing minutes a month, and stays yours while auto-renew continues, which is handy because Indian OTPs keep coming too.

If Telegram doesn't work with the +91 number within 7 days of activation, you get another Indian number free or a full refund. Numbers you haven't used for a call or SMS are refundable within the same 7 days, no questions.

Questions

Can I set up UPI on the Indian number I use for Telegram?

No. UPI relies on device binding: the app sends an SMS from the SIM inside your phone to prove the number lives there. A number read in a web dashboard can't send that proof, but it handles Telegram codes and other OTP sign-ups.

Telegram says my Indian number is invalid. What's wrong?

Almost always one digit too many. Indian mobiles are ten digits starting with 6, 7, 8 or 9. Drop any leading 0, don't repeat 91 after +91, and type it like 81234 56789.

I lost my phone while travelling. Can I get back into my Indian Telegram?

Yes. The login code by SMS reaches your web dashboard, not a SIM. After signing in on another device, end the lost session under Settings > Devices.

Can Indian contacts see my +91 number on Telegram?

You decide. Settings > Privacy and Security > Phone Number controls who sees it, and people can reach you by username instead.

Does the Telegram code reach my Indian number if I'm outside India?

Yes. Telegram texts the +91 line, and that line's inbox lives in your SMSCreation dashboard, so NRIs in Dubai, London or Toronto read it just as easily as someone in Delhi.

Telegram code not received on an Indian number: what should I do?

Look in the “Telegram” chat on any device where you're still signed in, because Telegram sends the code there when a session is open. Then check the entry is +91 followed by ten digits, with no 0. New accounts can't pick a phone call, so the SMS in your dashboard is how the code arrives; our Telegram code guide has further steps.

Can I use an Indian number for Telegram without an Indian SIM?

Yes. Telegram needs a mobile number that can receive its login SMS, not a SIM in your handset. Your +91 number is read in the SMSCreation web dashboard, so it works from a laptop or from a phone carrying a foreign SIM.

Is a free Indian number from an SMS website OK for Telegram?

It's risky. Public +91 numbers are shared, so strangers can read the login code, and Telegram's FAQ says whoever has the number has the account. A number only you can read, plus Two-Step Verification, keeps the account yours.

Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?

Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
