UAE number for Apple ID: a real +971 mobile you keep

Most people in the Emirates come from somewhere else, and many change jobs, visas and SIMs more often than they change iPhones. The Apple Account outlasts all of that, so its trusted phone number should too. A +971 mobile you keep, read from a web dashboard, means Apple's six-digit code still has somewhere to go after the next move.

This page covers the UAE format Apple expects, how Apple uses a trusted number, and the point people most often get wrong: a UAE number on your account doesn't make your App Store the UAE store. Apple changes that only through its country or region setting.

01

Why expats and residents put a UAE number on Apple

A typical story: an engineer arrives in Dubai, buys a local SIM, and it becomes the only trusted number on the Apple Account. Three years later the contract ends, the SIM is cancelled, and the first sign-in on a new laptop asks for a code sent to a line that no longer exists. A +971 number you hold independently of any employer or handset avoids that trap.

Apple's own guidance points the same way. It requires at least one trusted phone number for two-factor authentication and recommends adding one not associated with your iPhone, so a lost or broken phone doesn't take your codes with it.

  • A trusted number that survives a job change or visa move
  • UAE contact details on the account for people arriving soon
  • A backup line for codes that isn't inside your iPhone

UAE number format for Apple

Domestically a UAE mobile looks like 050 123 4567. Selecting the United Arab Emirates in Apple's list adds +971, so you drop the 0 and type the remaining nine digits. Typing +971 05… is the classic mistake.

Apple's two settings: trusted number and store country

Apple keeps a verified phone number as a trusted phone number. When you sign in on a device or browser it doesn't know, it can show the six-digit code on another trusted device or send it to that number by SMS or voice call. The UAE number never decides which storefront you see.

The store is changed under Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → Country/Region, or Personal Information at account.apple.com. Before that, Apple's country-change page (last checked 2026-10-01) asks for steps including these, in Apple's words:

  • “Spend any remaining Apple Account balance: You can spend your remaining balance on the App Store, other Apple services, or, in some countries and regions, Apple products and accessories.”
  • “Cancel subscriptions that block a country or region change”
  • “Have a valid payment method ready: You might need to enter a valid payment method for your new country or region.”
  • “Redownload your content: Some types of content might not be available in your new country or region.”
05

Payment options Apple lists for the UAE store

Apple's payment-methods page shows four routes for the United Arab Emirates: Apple Account balance (from Apple Gift Card or adding funds), Apple Pay, mobile phone billing, and most credit and debit cards. Apple Pay, Apple notes, requires two-factor authentication, and carrier billing is limited to supported carriers.

A number from us is prepaid in crypto and isn't a carrier account Apple can bill. For a UAE storefront you'll need a card, Apple Pay or a UAE gift card balance; the +971 number keeps the sign-in side working.

06

Setting up the +971 number in Apple

  1. 01Create an SMSCreation account using an email, choose United Arab Emirates and pick a number; the XX placeholders become real digits at activation.
  2. 02Pay with USDT or USDC. After the on-chain match, the full +971 5… number is in your dashboard.
  3. 03On the web, sign in at account.apple.com, open Sign-In and Security → Account Security and add a number in the Trusted Phone Number section. On iPhone use Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Two-Factor Authentication.
  4. 04Pick United Arab Emirates (+971) and enter nine digits, for example 50 123 4567.
  5. 05Request the code by text message or phone call; read the SMS in the inbox or take the call in the browser.
  6. 06Enter the six digits. Apple now shows the +971 number as trusted.
07

Common UAE entry errors

  • Writing +971 050… keeps the trunk 0 and produces ten digits after the code.
  • Entering a Dubai or Abu Dhabi landline (04 or 02 at home) instead of a 05X mobile.
  • Picking a neighbouring Gulf country from the list; check it says United Arab Emirates (+971).
  • Worrying about app-call restrictions. TDRA rules have limited voice calls through some messaging apps, but Apple's code arrives as an ordinary SMS or phone call.
08

Free UAE inboxes versus a +971 number you keep

The UAE numbers on free SMS sites are open to everyone, so an Apple code sent there is effectively public, and those lines are reused until most services have seen them. If you'll only ever need a single code, a one-time code service is cheaper.

Apple, though, comes back. A new device, a browser it hasn't seen, a full sign-out or an erased iPhone all mean another code to the trusted number. Lose that number and you face account recovery, which Apple says can take a few days or longer. Renewing a number you hold avoids it.

09

Apple code missing on a UAE number

  • Tap “Didn't Get a Code?” or “Can't get to your devices?” and send the code to the +971 number again; choose a phone call if the SMS doesn't appear.
  • Check the last digits Apple shows: an old UAE SIM from a previous job may still be selected.
  • An iPhone sometimes verifies the trusted number in the background, so no code is required.
  • Codes reach UAE numbers in most cases, but Apple's own rules decide when and how it sends them. If nothing arrives, open a ticket and follow our guide to codes that don't arrive.

Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google

Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.

And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.

  • Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
  • Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
  • Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
  • Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
  • Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working
11

Price, keeping the number and the 7-day guarantee

UAE numbers are from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan ($21.60 billed yearly), with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 outgoing minutes a month. The +971 number stays yours while it renews, whichever emirate or country you're in.

Apple applies its own acceptance rules, so we don't promise any outcome on its side. If the number doesn't work with Apple within 7 days of activation, the 7-day replacement guarantee gives you a free replacement UAE number or a 100% refund, and an unused number can be refunded within 7 days, no questions asked.

Questions

Can a UAE number change my App Store region?

No. The +971 number only acts as a trusted number for Apple's codes. Your store changes under Media & Purchases → Country/Region, after you spend your balance, cancel blocking subscriptions and have a valid payment method for the UAE ready.

Is a free UAE number OK for Apple ID?

No. Free UAE numbers are public and reused, so anyone can read the code and the line may be gone when Apple needs it again.

Will Apple's verification call work on a UAE number?

Yes. Apple's call is an ordinary phone call, not a messaging-app call, and incoming calls ring in your dashboard without limit.

Which UAE prefixes can I enter in Apple's form?

UAE mobiles start 050, 052, 054, 055, 056 or 058 at home. In Apple's form, drop the 0: 50, 52, 54, 55, 56 or 58 followed by seven digits.

What do I need to pay in the UAE App Store?

Apple lists Apple Account balance from Apple Gift Card or added funds, Apple Pay, mobile phone billing with supported carriers, and most credit and debit cards.

Can I keep my UAE number on Apple after leaving Dubai?

Yes. It stays yours while it renews, and Apple's codes reach it in the web dashboard in any country.

Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?

Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
