Morocco number for WhatsApp: a real +212 mobile that stays yours

Moroccans abroad, in France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands or Italy, often hold on to a +212 line just so family in Casablanca or Fès can reach them on WhatsApp the way they always have. Others want a Moroccan contact for a riad, a tour business, an export deal or clients in Rabat who simply expect to text a local number.

A +212 number from SMSCreation is a Moroccan mobile you run from a web dashboard, so there is no SIM to carry or top up from Europe. WhatsApp's six-digit code arrives in that inbox, as a text or through an automated call.

01

Why a Moroccan number on WhatsApp makes sense

WhatsApp is how much of Morocco talks, in Darija, French or Arabic: family groups, guesthouse bookings, sellers taking orders, car rental agents and private tutors. A Moroccan customer or relative sees a +212 number and recognises it at once; a foreign one can look like an unknown sales message.

For diaspora families the reason is simpler. A Moroccan prepaid SIM left in a drawer during a year in Lyon or Madrid can lapse, and with it goes the WhatsApp number everybody has saved. A number you renew online doesn't depend on a balance back home.

  • Bookings and orders from Moroccan clients on a +212 WhatsApp
  • One Moroccan contact for relatives, wherever in Europe you live
  • A second number for business, apart from your personal WhatsApp

How a +212 number goes into WhatsApp

Inside Morocco a mobile is written with a trunk 0 and ten digits in all, like 06 12 34 56 78 or 07 12 34 56 78, usually grouped in pairs. After that 0, Moroccan mobiles begin with 6 or 7. Internationally the 0 disappears, leaving nine digits after the code. In WhatsApp, select Morocco, which fills in +212, and type 612345678.

What WhatsApp looks at when you register a +212 number

There's no Morocco-specific rule in WhatsApp's help center; the same checks apply everywhere. The number must be able to receive a six-digit registration code, sent as a text first and offered as an automated voice call (“Call me”) when the countdown ends. WhatsApp also lists VoIP, toll-free, premium-rate and universal access numbers as unsupported, and accepts landlines only on the WhatsApp Business app, which is why being in a Moroccan mobile range matters more than the country itself.

A second check arrives months later, unannounced: switching phones or reinstalling asks for a new code to the same +212 number. Re-registering by email only works for an existing account that has already verified an email address, so most users depend on the number.

Activating WhatsApp on a Moroccan number

  1. 01Sign up with an email address, choose Morocco and select one of the listed +212 numbers; the digits shown as XX are assigned at activation.
  2. 02Pay with USDT or USDC on a supported network. When the transfer is matched on-chain, the complete number shows in your dashboard.
  3. 03In WhatsApp tap “Agree and continue”, pick Morocco from the list and type the nine digits starting with 6 or 7, with no 0.
  4. 04Check the number on screen, then open the dashboard inbox to read the six-digit SMS.
  5. 05No text before the timer ends? Choose “Call me” and take the code from the automated call.
  6. 06Protect the account under Settings > Account > Two-step verification, adding a password and an email for recovery.

Moroccan number pitfalls

  • Keeping the 0 after +212 (+212 06…) gives WhatsApp ten digits; the correct count is nine.
  • Numbers copied from Moroccan business cards are often written 06-12-34-56-78. The dashes don't matter; the 0 does.
  • Old contact lists sometimes store Moroccan numbers as 00212…; in a field that already shows +212 that doubles the country code.
  • Numbers beginning 05 are mostly fixed-line ranges in ANRT's numbering plan. For a personal WhatsApp account you want a 06 or 07 mobile.
  • Check the current time difference to Paris or Brussels before booking a WhatsApp call, rather than relying on an offset you remember.

Free Moroccan inboxes, single codes and a number you keep

Search for a free Morocco number for WhatsApp and you'll find public pages listing +212 numbers with their messages in plain view. They're shared by strangers: whoever loads the page next sees your code, and WhatsApp's rules only let you register a number you own. Fine for curiosity, poor for an account your family will use.

Paying for one code is a reasonable, cheaper option when you need a single sign-up you'll never open again. WhatsApp isn't usually that kind of account, because the next phone you buy will ask for a fresh code on the same +212 line. If that line has gone to someone else, so has your way back in.

08

When WhatsApp's code doesn't show up

  • Count the digits: +212 plus nine, the first being 6 or 7.
  • Wait out the full timer; WhatsApp says delivery can take up to 10 minutes.
  • Switch to “Call me”; incoming calls to the dashboard are unlimited.
  • If a two-step verification PIN or password is requested on a number you just activated, a previous holder may have set one. WhatsApp makes you wait days to reset it, so open a ticket and we'll replace the number under the guarantee.
  • For anything else, follow our guide to a verification code that isn't received.

Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google

Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.

And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.

  • Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
  • Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
  • Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
  • Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
  • Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working

Price, keeping the +212 number and the 7-day guarantee

Moroccan numbers are from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan ($21.60 billed yearly), the same as every country we offer. Each month includes 500 outgoing texts and 1,000 outgoing minutes, and incoming SMS and calls are unlimited. As long as auto-renew pays from your wallet, the +212 number remains yours.

Should WhatsApp refuse the Moroccan number within 7 days of activation, you get a free replacement +212 number or a 100% refund, your choice. And if you haven't used the number for any call or text, it's refundable within those 7 days without questions.

Questions

Is there a free Morocco number for WhatsApp that actually works?

Free +212 numbers on public SMS sites sometimes receive a code, but everyone can see it, and WhatsApp only lets you register a number you own. For an account you'll keep, use a private Moroccan number that only you can read.

Do I keep the 0 when I add a Moroccan number to WhatsApp?

No. Choose Morocco (+212) and type nine digits starting with 6 or 7, for example 612345678. The 0 is only used when dialling inside Morocco.

Can I use a Moroccan WhatsApp number while living in France or Spain?

Yes. The code goes to the +212 number and you read it in your browser dashboard, so your location makes no difference.

Can a Moroccan number starting with 05 be used for WhatsApp?

Most numbers starting with 05 are fixed lines in Morocco's numbering plan. For a normal WhatsApp account, use a Moroccan mobile starting with 06 or 07.

Will WhatsApp Business work on a +212 number?

Yes. It registers with the same six-digit code by SMS or call, and it can run beside your personal WhatsApp as long as each app has its own number.

What happens to my WhatsApp if the Moroccan number expires?

WhatsApp usually keeps working on your current phone until it needs a new code, for example on a new handset. That code goes to the +212 number, so keep it renewed, or move WhatsApp first with Settings > Account > Change number.

Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?

Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
