A real phone number
for WeChat.
Get a real mobile number for WeChat in any of 181 countries. Receive the WeChat verification code by SMS or call, use the number for a WeChat account for contacts and business in China and Chinese-speaking communities, kept apart from your personal SIM, and keep it for as long as you want.
Every number includes unlimited incoming SMS, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 outgoing minutes a month, and unlimited incoming calls — from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan, with a 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS.
How WeChat verification works
WeChat registers you with a mobile number and can send login OTP codes by SMS. New accounts may also need assistance registration: an existing WeChat user scans your QR code, or you verify with a payment card or WeChat Pay.
Because SMSCreation numbers are real mobile numbers, WeChat treats them like any other phone: the code is delivered to your number and shows up in your dashboard inbox straight away.
Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google
Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.
And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.
- Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
- Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
- Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
- Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
- Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working
WeChat sign-up and verification details
WeChat signs you up with a mobile number: tap Sign Up, choose Sign up with mobile, pick your region code, enter the number and set a password. You can also start with Facebook, but WeChat still asks for a region code and a mobile number. Each mobile number can create only one WeChat account, and later logins can use an OTP code that WeChat sends by SMS to the linked number.
Be clear about the hardest part. After the number step, WeChat may ask for “assistance registration”: an existing WeChat user, ideally someone near you, scans a QR code with their WeChat to vouch for you. If nobody can help, WeChat offers verification with a payment card or by activating WeChat Pay. A phone number alone cannot satisfy this step, and WeChat says results depend on the helper's country or region. Note too that WeChat says its service is not offered in India.
- Code
- OTP sent by SMS to the linked mobile number when you log in with “Log in via OTP Code”
- Accounts per number
- One WeChat account per mobile number
- Extra step for new accounts
- Assistance registration: a WeChat user scans your QR code, or you verify with a payment card or WeChat Pay
- Security setting to turn on
- Me → Settings → Account Security → Manage Devices, and keep only trusted devices
- Where to change the number
- Me → Settings → Account Security → Phone → Change Mobile
Common WeChat problems and fixes
- Sign-up asks a friend to scan a QR code → this is WeChat's assistance registration, not a problem with the number → ask a WeChat user to scan it with their WeChat, or use the payment card or WeChat Pay option if WeChat offers one to you.
- Sign-up fails repeatedly → WeChat asks you to disconnect from any VPN, use only the official WeChat app, and register on a device and network you trust → fix those, then try again.
- New phone, and WeChat wants a second check → new-device login verification → scan the QR code with WeChat on your old device, use a linked email, or ask two frequent contacts to send you a verification code.
- The SMS OTP doesn't arrive → pause any security app that blocks unknown messages and check the region code; our guide “Verification code not received” covers the other usual causes.
- The number is already used by another WeChat account → WeChat allows one account per number → use a different number for the new account.
After the WeChat SMS: assistance registration
Getting the number accepted is only half of a WeChat sign-up. You choose Sign up with mobile, pick the region code, enter the number and set a password, or start through Facebook and still give a region code and number. Then WeChat may ask for assistance registration: an existing WeChat user, ideally someone near you, scans a QR code to vouch for you. WeChat says results depend on the helper's country or region.
If nobody can scan, WeChat may offer a payment card or activating WeChat Pay instead. No phone number replaces that step, so line up a helper before you start.
- One WeChat account per mobile number.
- Disconnect any VPN and use only the official WeChat app while registering.
- WeChat says its service isn't offered in India.
WeChat on a new phone
Moving WeChat to another device brings back a second check, new-device login verification. You can scan the QR code with WeChat on the old device, use a linked email, or ask two frequent contacts to send you a code. With "Log in via OTP Code" the linked number also receives an SMS code. Afterwards, prune old handsets under Me → Settings → Account Security → Manage Devices, and change numbers under Account Security → Phone → Change Mobile.

Tips for WeChat

Questions
Does an SMSCreation number work with WeChat?
In most cases, yes: our numbers are real mobile numbers, so WeChat can send its code to them by SMS — and by call where WeChat offers it. WeChat's own sign-up rules still apply, so check the verification details on this page before you buy.
Which country should I choose for WeChat?
Any country works. Pick the country where you want your contacts to see a local number, or where the service you're joining expects one.
Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?
Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
Can I keep using the same number for WeChat?
Yes. The number is yours for as long as you keep it renewed, so you can receive codes again for new devices or account recovery.
What if I don't need the number after all?
You're covered by our 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS — request a refund within 7 days of activation.
How much does it cost?
From $1.80 a month on the yearly plan (billed yearly at $21.60/year). Every plan includes unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 minutes.
Can I open a WeChat account with only a phone number?
Not always. WeChat registers you with a mobile number, but it may then ask for assistance registration: an existing WeChat user scans your QR code, or you verify with a payment card or WeChat Pay. A real mobile number from us covers the SMS part; the friend or payment step is something only you can complete.
Why did WeChat ask two friends to send me a code?
That's one of the options for new-device login verification. Two frequent contacts send a verification code to your account, then you refresh to check the result. Other options are scanning the QR code with your old device, logging in with your password or SMS code, or using your linked email.
Why does WeChat ask a friend to scan a QR code when I sign up?
That's assistance registration, an extra check for new accounts. An existing WeChat user scans your code; if no one can, WeChat may offer card or WeChat Pay verification.
Can I verify a new WeChat device without my old phone?
Yes. Besides scanning with the old device, WeChat lets you use a linked email or have two frequent contacts send you a verification code.
