A real phone number
for Twitch.
Get a real mobile number for Twitch in any of 181 countries. Receive the Twitch verification code by SMS or call, use the number for a streamer, moderator or brand account on Twitch, or chatting in channels that require a verified phone, and keep it for as long as you want.
Every number includes unlimited incoming SMS, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 outgoing minutes a month, and unlimited incoming calls — from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan, with a 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS.
How Twitch verification works
Twitch sends a 6-digit code by SMS when you add a phone number at twitch.tv/settings/security, and only accepts mobile numbers on a cellular network, not VoIP numbers or landlines.
Because SMSCreation numbers are real mobile numbers, Twitch treats them like any other phone: the code is delivered to your number and shows up in your dashboard inbox straight away.
Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google
Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.
And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.
- Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
- Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
- Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
- Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
- Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working
Twitch phone verification details
Twitch sends a 6-digit verification code by SMS when you add a phone number at twitch.tv/settings/security. Twitch only accepts mobile numbers on a cellular network: VoIP numbers such as Google Voice and landlines are refused. A verified phone or email is needed for some features, and some channels require one before you can chat. Unlike many sites, Twitch lets you add the same phone number to more than one account. Every account still has to follow the Community Guidelines, and creating accounts to evade a suspension is a violation.
Two-factor authentication on Twitch always starts with SMS: you must verify your number by text before you can add an authenticator app. Twitch automatically creates an Authy account for your 2FA, and if you later lose the number, the recovery route is Authy's Phone Change Form, processed in 24–48 business hours. To change your number normally, Twitch first sends a code to your current number. So a number you use for Twitch 2FA should be one you keep. Twitch says SMS may not reach every country reliably, and Russia is currently blocked from SMS 2FA.

Common Twitch problems and fixes
- Code doesn't arrive → include the country code, wait at least 60 seconds between requests, and allow up to 5 minutes for delivery → Twitch lists carrier delays, blocked short codes and spam filters as common causes. See our guide “Verification code not received”.
- Rate limited → too many code requests → Twitch asks you to wait 24 hours before trying again.
- Number rejected as VoIP → Twitch only accepts cellular mobile numbers → use a real mobile number.
- Can't change the number without an SMS code → Twitch verifies the current number first → if it's gone, use Authy's Phone Change Form (24–48 business hours).
- Don't recognize an account on your number → use twitch.tv/user/account-recovery → “I Don't Know My Username” to get a list of every account linked to the number.
What Twitch 2FA setup looks like in practice
Before 2FA, Twitch needs the email on your account verified. Then, in Security and Privacy settings: Set Up Two-Factor Authentication → Enable 2FA → enter the phone number → Continue, and type the 7-digit code Twitch texts you. That's one digit more than the 6-digit code used when you simply add a phone number. Enabling 2FA logs you out of Twitch on every device except the one you used. If you enable it from Twitch's app on your phone, SMS is the only option.
Streamers have a concrete reason to care. Twitch requires 2FA to get started as an Affiliate or Partner, so the number becomes part of your monetization setup. Twitch also gives six exclusive emotes once SMS and an authenticator (TOTP) are both on, and removes them whenever either is disabled, including when you switch authenticator apps.
Switching or backing up the Twitch authenticator
- Change or remove the authenticator under Security and Privacy → Edit Two-Factor Authentication → Modify → Continue → enter your password, then scan the new QR code.
- On that setup screen you can skip the app and use SMS as your primary 2FA instead.
- Twitch suggests scanning the QR code into more than one app or device, and turning on authenticator backups (Authy Backups, Duo Restore, Microsoft Authenticator Cloud Backup).
- Whatever app you choose, the hidden Authy account stays tied to your phone number, so the number remains the recovery anchor.
Verify Twitch with your number in 4 steps
- 01Choose a country and pick a mobile number.
- 02Pay in crypto or from your wallet — from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan.
- 03Enter the number in Twitch with its country code and request the code.
- 04Open your SMSCreation inbox, copy the code and you're verified.
Tips for Twitch
- Wait at least 60 seconds between code requests; too many requests trigger a 24-hour rate limit.
- Two-factor authentication starts with SMS, after which you can add an authenticator app for daily logins.
- Keep the number: changing it requires a code sent to the current number.

Questions
Does an SMSCreation number work with Twitch?
In most cases, yes: our numbers are real mobile numbers, so Twitch can send its code to them by SMS — and by call where Twitch offers it. Twitch's own sign-up rules still apply, so check the verification details on this page before you buy.
Which country should I choose for Twitch?
Any country works. Pick the country where you want your contacts to see a local number, or where the service you're joining expects one.
Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?
Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
Can I keep using the same number for Twitch?
Yes. The number is yours for as long as you keep it renewed, so you can receive codes again for new devices or account recovery.
What if I don't need the number after all?
You're covered by our 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS — request a refund within 7 days of activation.
How much does it cost?
From $1.80 a month on the yearly plan (billed yearly at $21.60/year). Every plan includes unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 minutes.
Can I use one phone number for several Twitch accounts?
Yes. Twitch lets you add and verify the same number on more than one account, and you don't need to change anything on the others. All accounts must follow Twitch's rules; making a new account to evade a suspension leads to more enforcement.
Can I skip SMS and use only an authenticator app for Twitch 2FA?
No. Twitch requires SMS verification first; after your number is verified you can add an authenticator app such as Authy, Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. Twitch recommends the app for daily logins because it works without cell service.
Do I need 2FA to become a Twitch Affiliate or Partner?
Yes. Twitch says you need two-factor authentication turned on to get started as an Affiliate or Partner, and setup always begins with an SMS code to your phone number.
Why was I logged out of Twitch everywhere?
Turning on 2FA logs you out on every device except the one you used to enable it. Sign back in with your password and the code.
