01

How Snapchat verification works

Snapchat verifies a phone number with a code sent by SMS or a phone call.

Because SMSCreation numbers are real mobile numbers, Snapchat treats them like any other phone: the code is delivered to your number and shows up in your dashboard inbox straight away.

02

Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google

Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.

And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.

  • Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
  • Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
  • Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
  • Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
  • Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working

Snapchat verification details

Snapchat verifies a mobile number with a code you can get either way. Tap "Send via SMS" for a text, or "Call me instead" to hear the code in a phone call. You'll find it under Settings > My Account > Mobile Number. Only one email and one mobile number can be verified per Snapchat account. If the same number is later verified on a newer account, Snapchat removes it from the older one. You can change a verified number, but you can't remove it completely.

Snapchat may also ask for a code when you log in from a new or unrecognized device. It sends the code to one of your contact methods, and you can't always choose which one. With two-factor authentication on, you always need a login code, even to reset a forgotten password. That's why Snapchat asks 2FA users to keep both a mobile number and an email up to date. Snapchat also warns that recycled numbers are a real account-takeover risk.

Common Snapchat problems and fixes

  • "Too many requests" after asking for SMS codes: Snapchat says this is a temporary block from requesting too many codes in a short time. Snapchat's help pages suggest waiting a few minutes during login, and up to 24 hours when verifying a number. Then try again.
  • No SMS code: wait a few minutes and request a new code, or pick "Call me instead" since incoming calls are included. See our guide "Verification code not received".
  • The number disappeared from your old account: someone verified it on a newer account. Snapchat keeps a number verified on only one account.
  • Lost access to the phone with 2FA on: log in with your recovery code, which also turns off two-factor authentication. If you use an authenticator app, Snapchat warns that changing your number or factory-resetting the phone can lock you out.
  • Old or recycled number: Snapchat notes that recycling is more likely with free SMS services. A number you keep and renew is much safer.

Snapchat's “Too many requests” error and other verification limits

Snapchat's “I can't verify my email or mobile number” article names the error people hit after tapping resend repeatedly. “Too many requests” is usually caused by asking for too many SMS verification codes in a short time, and Snapchat's advice is to wait 24 hours before trying again. For a single missing text, it says to wait a few minutes, request a new code, and check that the phone has reception and that SMS from unknown senders isn't blocked.

Snapchat also spells out why one contact method matters so much. You need access to at least one verified contact, either email or mobile number, to verify your account, and that verified contact is how you reset your password if you forget it. Since the same email or number can't be shared across several Snapchat accounts, each account you run needs its own.

Questions

Does an SMSCreation number work with Snapchat?

In most cases, yes: our numbers are real mobile numbers, so Snapchat can send its code to them by SMS — and by call where Snapchat offers it. Snapchat's own sign-up rules still apply, so check the verification details on this page before you buy.

Which country should I choose for Snapchat?

Any country works. Pick the country where you want your contacts to see a local number, or where the service you're joining expects one.

Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?

Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.

Can I keep using the same number for Snapchat?

Yes. The number is yours for as long as you keep it renewed, so you can receive codes again for new devices or account recovery.

What if I don't need the number after all?

You're covered by our 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS — request a refund within 7 days of activation.

How much does it cost?

From $1.80 a month on the yearly plan (billed yearly at $21.60/year). Every plan includes unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 minutes.

Can I use the same number on two Snapchat accounts?

You can have more than one account, but only one of them can have a given mobile number verified. If you verify the number on a newer account, Snapchat removes it from the older one. Use a separate number for each account you want verified.

Why does Snapchat warn about recycled numbers?

Carriers reassign numbers, so a new owner of your old number could try to log in to your account. Snapchat says the risk is higher with free SMS services. Keep a number you control, and add an email or passkey as a second check.

How long should I wait after Snapchat says “Too many requests”?

Snapchat suggests waiting 24 hours before asking for another SMS code. The error comes from requesting too many verification codes in a short period, so repeated taps only extend the wait.

Can I verify a Snapchat account without email or a phone number?

No. Snapchat says you need access to at least one verified contact method, email or mobile number, and that this is how you reset a forgotten password.
