A real phone number
for OLX.

How OLX verification works

OLX India signs you up and logs you in with an OTP sent by SMS to a 10-digit active phone number, and sends a new OTP whenever you change the number.

Because SMSCreation numbers are real mobile numbers, OLX treats them like any other phone: the code is delivered to your number and shows up in your dashboard inbox straight away.

Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google

Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.

And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.

• Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
• Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
• Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
• Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
• Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working

OLX phone verification details

OLX runs separate sites in different countries, and the details here come from OLX India's help centre. There, the account is built on a phone number: you download the OLX app, enter a 10-digit active phone number, and log in with the OTP sent to it. The same step returns when you change the number in your profile, because OLX sends an OTP to the new number before saving it. OLX India asks for a 10-digit number, which matches the Indian mobile format, so choose an Indian number for it.

OLX treats the OTP as the key to your account. It says it will never ask you for the code, and that anyone who does, even someone claiming to work for OLX, is a red flag. A number can only sit on one OLX account at a time. An OTP-verified phone number is also one requirement for OLX India's paid Verified User (Powered by AI) badge, together with a minimum account age and an AI-based trust review. OLX says the badge doesn't guarantee a user's identity. A phone number proves you control a line, not who you are.

Common OLX problems and fixes

• “Phone number already in use” → the number sits on another OLX account, often one opened with a different login method → OLX suggests deleting the extra account (it must have no active ads or packages) and then adding the number to the account you keep.
• The number isn't accepted → OLX India asks for a 10-digit active number → use an Indian number and enter it as the 10 digits the form asks for.
• Someone asks for your OTP → OLX says it will never ask for this code → don't share it. If you've already shared account details, reset your password and report it to OLX's safety team.
• The OTP doesn't arrive → check the digits and request a new OTP. Our guide “Verification code not received” covers the next steps.

OLX India: the phone number is the login

OLX runs a site per country, and OLX India's help centre builds the whole account around a phone number. You install the app, enter a 10-digit active number and log in with the OTP texted to it. The same OTP returns when you edit the number under My Account → View and Edit Profile → Edit Profile → Contact Information → Phone Number, because OLX checks the new number before saving it.

That 10-digit field matches the Indian mobile format, so for OLX India choose an Indian number and type the ten digits as the form asks.

OLX OTP safety and the Verified User badge

• OLX says it will never ask you for your OTP; anyone who does, even someone claiming to be from OLX, is a red flag.
• Shared account details already? Reset your password and report it to OLX's safety team.
• "Phone number already in use" means another OLX account holds the number, often one opened with a different login method; delete that account (no active ads or packages) and add the number to the one you keep.
• An OTP-verified number is one condition for OLX India's paid Verified User (Powered by AI) badge, together with minimum account age and an AI trust review.
• OLX states the badge doesn't guarantee who a user is.

Tips for OLX

• For OLX India, choose an Indian number to match the 10-digit format.
• A number can sit on only one OLX account; “Phone number already in use” means it's on another one.
• Never share your OTP; OLX says it will never ask for it.

Included with every number

• No real name required — sign up with an email and a password
• No card, no bank account — crypto only, so no payment details are linked to you
