A real phone number
for Indeed.
Get a real mobile number for Indeed in any of 181 countries. Receive the Indeed verification code by SMS or call, use the number for job applications with a contact number that isn't your personal SIM, and keep it for as long as you want.
Every number includes unlimited incoming SMS, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 outgoing minutes a month, and unlimited incoming calls — from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan, with a 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS.
How Indeed verification works
Indeed sends a 6-digit code by SMS, automated call or WhatsApp when you create an account or apply for a job. The code is valid for 10 minutes.
Because SMSCreation numbers are real mobile numbers, Indeed treats them like any other phone: the code is delivered to your number and shows up in your dashboard inbox straight away.
Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google
Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.
And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.
- Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
- Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
- Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
- Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
- Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working
Indeed phone verification details
Indeed may ask you to verify a phone number when you create an account or apply for a job. You enter the number, choose Verify and receive a 6-digit code that's valid for 10 minutes. It can come by text message, by an automated phone call, or as a WhatsApp message if WhatsApp is set up on that number. Indeed says a verified number tells employers you're active, keeps your account safe and makes recovery easier if you forget your password. The verified number doesn't have to match the one on your profile.
Indeed has tightened its rules on number types. It accepts mobile numbers, landlines and fixed VoIP numbers linked to a physical address, and no longer allows non-fixed VoIP numbers. Each number can only be linked to a limited number of accounts. If your country code isn't listed, you can use a number from any country on Indeed's Worldwide list. An SMSCreation number is a real mobile number, so it falls in the accepted mobile category. Indeed may also send a code by text or email when you sign in from a new device or location.

Common Indeed problems and fixes
- “This phone number type isn't supported.” → Indeed reads the line as a number type it doesn't accept, such as non-fixed VoIP → use a mobile number, a landline or a fixed VoIP number.
- “We're unable to verify this number right now. Try a different number or wait 12 hours to try again” → the number may be blocked → wait 12 hours or use a different number.
- “Too many verification attempts. Try again later” → retry after ten minutes, and after 24 hours if the block remains.
- “This phone number is already linked to the maximum number of accounts. Try a different number” → change or remove the number on your other accounts, close them, or use another number.
- The text never arrives → Indeed says carriers may filter these messages as spam, and texts may not arrive while roaming → ask for the call option instead. Our guide “Verification code not received” has more.
Where Indeed's phone number does extra work
Indeed treats the phone number in account settings as a recovery key for your email. If you lose access to the email on your account, choose Don't have access to this email, and Indeed sends a code to the phone number in account settings so you can change the address. The reverse doesn't work as well. Indeed can't merge accounts, and if you forget which email you used, it says you'll need a new account. A number you keep is your best insurance here.
If your Indeed and Glassdoor accounts are linked, Indeed says a phone or email change made on Indeed updates the Glassdoor profile automatically. Changing the number takes these steps: account settings → Change phone number → Verify → enter the code → Submit. If the code isn't at hand, Not now postpones it, but the change isn't processed until you verify the phone number from account settings.
When Indeed asks for a code you didn't expect
- Unusual sign-in attempt: signing in from a new device or a different location triggers a code by text or email.
- Employer accounts: two-factor authentication is mandatory for all of them. Clicking Employers/Post Job by mistake can create one; Indeed's support may fix it, or the account may have to be closed and recreated.
- Changing your email can itself trigger two-factor, so Indeed advises updating the phone number before the email.
- Lost the number while 2FA blocks you? Change it in account settings if you can sign in; if not, Indeed support can remove the number from the account.

Questions
Does an SMSCreation number work with Indeed?
In most cases, yes: our numbers are real mobile numbers, so Indeed can send its code to them by SMS — and by call where Indeed offers it. Indeed's own sign-up rules still apply, so check the verification details on this page before you buy.
Which country should I choose for Indeed?
Any country works. Pick the country where you want your contacts to see a local number, or where the service you're joining expects one.
Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?
Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
Can I keep using the same number for Indeed?
Yes. The number is yours for as long as you keep it renewed, so you can receive codes again for new devices or account recovery.
What if I don't need the number after all?
You're covered by our 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS — request a refund within 7 days of activation.
How much does it cost?
From $1.80 a month on the yearly plan (billed yearly at $21.60/year). Every plan includes unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 minutes.
Can I use a number from another country for Indeed?
Yes, if it's from a country on Indeed's Worldwide list. Indeed says that if your own country code isn't listed, you can use a mobile or fixed VoIP number from any listed country. The number just has to receive the 6-digit code.
I changed the phone on my Indeed profile. Why do codes still go to the old number?
The profile number and the account number are separate. Indeed says changing the profile number doesn't update your account settings, so go to Account settings → Change phone number and verify the new number there.
Does changing my phone number on Indeed also change it on Glassdoor?
Yes, if the accounts are linked. Indeed says updates to your email or phone on Indeed are applied to your Glassdoor profile automatically.
Why does an Indeed employer account always ask for a code?
Indeed makes two-factor authentication mandatory for every employer account. Job seeker accounts see it mainly on unusual sign-ins from a new device or location.
I lost access to my Indeed email. Can the phone number help?
Yes. Choose Don't have access to this email, and Indeed sends a verification code to the phone number in your account settings so you can update the email address.
