A real phone number
for Etsy.
Get a real mobile number for Etsy in any of 181 countries. Receive the Etsy verification code by SMS or call, use the number for 2FA codes for one or more shops, kept off your personal SIM, and keep it for as long as you want.
Every number includes unlimited incoming SMS, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 outgoing minutes a month, and unlimited incoming calls — from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan, with a 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS.
How Etsy verification works
Etsy sends two-factor codes by text or phone call, required for new shops, and confirms a mobile number with a 6-digit SMS code. Phone codes are only offered in countries on Etsy's list.
Because SMSCreation numbers are real mobile numbers, Etsy treats them like any other phone: the code is delivered to your number and shows up in your dashboard inbox straight away.
Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google
Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.
And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.
- Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
- Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
- Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
- Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
- Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working
Etsy phone verification details
On Etsy, a phone number is a security tool rather than a sign-up requirement. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is required when you open a new shop, and optional but strongly recommended for existing sellers and buyers. With 2FA on, Etsy asks for your password plus a verification code when you sign in on a new browser or device, and every 30 days. The code can come by text, by phone call or from an authenticator app. Etsy says phone codes aren't available everywhere: its list covers the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India and many European countries, among others.
You set it up under Account settings → Security → Turn on 2FA, choosing SMS, Phone or Authenticator App. Etsy then gives you 9-digit backup codes that are shown only once. It also offers security SMS alerts for suspicious activity, which need a verified mobile number confirmed with a 6-digit code; landlines are not accepted. Sellers should know where a phone number stops: Etsy verifies new sellers' identity through Persona with a government-issued photo ID and a selfie, and the name on the ID must match the bank account you share. A phone number can't satisfy that check.

Common Etsy problems and fixes
- Your country isn't offered for text or call codes → Etsy only sends phone codes to countries on its list → pick a number from a listed country, such as the United States or United Kingdom, or use an authenticator app.
- You can't reach the old number to change it → Etsy asks you to confirm the previously verified number first → sign in with one of your 9-digit backup codes; if you have none left, contact Etsy Support.
- A “security alert” text contains a link → Etsy says genuine security alerts never contain links → don't tap it; check your recent sign-ins under Security instead.
- The code doesn't arrive → check the country code and digits, then ask for a new code or switch to the phone-call option. Our guide “Verification code not received” covers the rest.
- Seller onboarding stops at identity verification → Persona needs a government ID and a selfie, with the ID name matching your bank account → this step is separate from your phone number and needs your own documents.
An Etsy seller can have three different phone numbers on file
Etsy keeps phone numbers in three separate places, and changing one doesn't change the others. The two-factor number lives under Account settings → Security. Legal shop information is under Shop Manager → Finances → Legal and tax information → Edit. The shipping-label phone is under Shop Manager → Settings → Shipping settings → Shipping Label Options. A seller can keep a dedicated number for 2FA codes while the legal and shipping fields carry whatever the business needs.
Changing the two-factor number is a turn-off-and-on job. Turn 2FA off, which needs the code sent to your current number or one of your backup codes, then turn it back on, pick SMS or Phone, and enter the new number. In the Etsy Seller App the same switch sits under More → Account & app settings → 2 Factor authentication. With no access to the old number or the backup codes, Etsy asks you to contact Etsy Support.

Tips for Etsy
- Pick a number from a country Etsy supports for phone codes, such as the US or UK.
- Save the 9-digit backup codes Etsy shows once when you turn on 2FA.
- New sellers also need a government ID and selfie through Persona, which a phone number can't replace.

Private by design — keep Etsy separate from your identity
A SMSCreation number keeps your personal SIM, name and bank card out of your Etsy account. No KYC, no ID, no card — crypto only.
- No KYC — no ID, passport, selfie or proof of address, ever
- No real name required — sign up with an email and a password
- No card, no bank account — crypto only, so no payment details are linked to you

Keep it as long as you want
Etsy may ask for your number again — on a new phone, after a reinstall or for account recovery. Keep your number renewed and it stays yours, so you can always receive the code.
Not what you needed? Our 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS.
Questions
Does an SMSCreation number work with Etsy?
In most cases, yes: our numbers are real mobile numbers, so Etsy can send its code to them by SMS — and by call where Etsy offers it. Etsy's own sign-up rules still apply, so check the verification details on this page before you buy.
Which country should I choose for Etsy?
Any country works. Pick the country where you want your contacts to see a local number, or where the service you're joining expects one.
Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?
Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
Can I keep using the same number for Etsy?
Yes. The number is yours for as long as you keep it renewed, so you can receive codes again for new devices or account recovery.
What if I don't need the number after all?
You're covered by our 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS — request a refund within 7 days of activation.
How much does it cost?
From $1.80 a month on the yearly plan (billed yearly at $21.60/year). Every plan includes unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 minutes.
Can I use one number for several Etsy accounts?
Yes. Etsy says you can use the same phone number or authenticator app to verify multiple accounts that you own. A dedicated number is handy if you run more than one shop and want 2FA codes kept off your personal SIM.
Is a phone number enough to open an Etsy shop?
No. A number covers 2FA, which is required for new shops, but Etsy also verifies new sellers through Persona with a government-issued photo ID and a selfie, and the name on the ID must match the bank account you share. Those checks need your real documents.
Does changing my Etsy 2FA number also change my shop's phone number?
No. Etsy stores the two-factor number separately from the phone in Legal shop information and the one in Shipping Label Options, so update each where you need it.
How do I move Etsy 2FA to a new number?
Turn two-factor off in Account settings → Security, using the code sent to your current number or a backup code, then turn it back on with SMS or Phone and enter the new number.
