How Bumble verification works
Every active Bumble account must be linked to a phone number. Bumble sends a six-digit code by SMS, or places an automated call you don't answer: you type the last six digits of the calling number instead.
Because SMSCreation numbers are real mobile numbers, Bumble treats them like any other phone: the code is delivered to your number and shows up in your dashboard inbox straight away.
Why it works with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram & Google
Apps check more than the digits: they look up the line type, the country format and whether the number can actually receive their code. Every SMSCreation number is a real mobile number in its country's official format — not a VoIP line — so it passes those checks the same way a SIM in your pocket does.
And we stand behind it with a 7-day replacement guarantee: if your number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free with a new number in the same country — or refund 100% if you prefer.
- Non-VoIP, real mobile line type — line-type checks see an ordinary SIM number, not a VoIP line
- Official country format with the right country code, prefix and digit count
- Unlimited incoming SMS and calls — codes arrive by text or through the “call me” option
- Private to you — never listed on public SMS sites, so it isn't flagged or rate-limited
- Yours for as long as you want — re-verification and account recovery keep working
Bumble verification details
Bumble's support centre is clear: all active accounts must be associated with a phone number. If you sign up with “Use mobile number”, Bumble sends a six-digit code by SMS and also offers a phone call. Accounts created with Facebook or Apple ID are asked to confirm a phone number too, a required step Bumble uses to make sure members are real. The call option is unusual. It's an automated call you don't need to answer. You type the last six digits of the number that called you. With our numbers you can find that caller in your dashboard's call history.
Bumble also warns about reassigned numbers. Carriers recycle old numbers, and if your old number is still linked to your Bumble account, its new owner could get in. Bumble's advice is to add a second login method (Passkey, Facebook or Apple ID) and update your number as soon as it changes. Without a second method, Bumble says it can't recover an account whose number has changed, and it can only delete the account for you. A number you keep renewing avoids that situation.
- Code
- 6 digits by SMS, or an automated call: enter the last 6 digits of the calling number
- Phone requirement
- Every active Bumble account must have a phone number, including Facebook and Apple ID sign-ups
- Security setting to turn on
- A secondary login method (Passkey, Facebook or Apple ID)
- Where to change the number
- Settings → Security and Privacy → Ways you can log in → Phone Number → Change number (needs a second login method first)
Common Bumble problems and fixes
- No SMS or call arrives → Bumble suggests checking the number and country code, waiting a few minutes, then tapping “didn't get an SMS” or “didn't get the call”. Our guide “Verification code not received” covers the general checklist.
- You got a call but no code → that's expected with the call option. Don't answer it. Enter the last six digits of the number that called you.
- Internal error 0030 0430 00XX or 0030-0403-00XX → Bumble says it detected unusual behavior patterns and recommends a short break, trying again in 24–48 hours.
- You can't change your number → Bumble requires a secondary login method before you can remove the old number and add a new one. Add a Passkey, Facebook or Apple ID first.
- Someone calls “from Bumble” asking for a code → Bumble says it never calls for support, and its only calls are automated verification calls. Hang up and don't share anything.
Order of steps for changing the number on Bumble
- First add a secondary login method: a Passkey, Facebook or Apple ID. Bumble won't let you swap numbers without one.
- Then open Settings → Security and Privacy → Ways you can log in → Phone Number → Change number.
- Verify the new number with the six-digit SMS code or the automated call.
- Do it before the old number lapses: Bumble can't recover an account whose number changed without a second login method, and can only delete it.
Bumble's call option, read from your dashboard
If you pick the call instead of a text, Bumble's automated call is the code. Don't answer it. Open your dashboard's call history, find the incoming call that just arrived, and type the last six digits of that caller's number into Bumble. It works when the SMS is slow, and the number never has to be in your phone.
Treat any other call claiming to be Bumble with suspicion. Bumble says it never calls for support and that its only calls are these automated verification calls. Anyone who phones and asks you to read back a code isn't Bumble.
Verify Bumble with your number in 4 steps
- 01Choose a country and pick a mobile number.
- 02Pay in crypto or from your wallet — from $1.80 a month on the yearly plan.
- 03Enter the number in Bumble with its country code and request the code.
- 04Open your SMSCreation inbox, copy the code and you're verified.
Tips for Bumble
- Choose SMS or the call option — for the call, read the calling number from your dashboard's call history.
- Add a second login method (Passkey, Apple or Facebook) under Settings → Security and Privacy → Ways you can log in.
- Bumble never calls for support, so treat any caller asking for codes as a scam.

Questions
Does an SMSCreation number work with Bumble?
In most cases, yes: our numbers are real mobile numbers, so Bumble can send its code to them by SMS — and by call where Bumble offers it. Bumble's own sign-up rules still apply, so check the verification details on this page before you buy.
Which country should I choose for Bumble?
Any country works. Pick the country where you want your contacts to see a local number, or where the service you're joining expects one.
Will the number work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram and Google?
Yes — guaranteed. It's a real mobile number with unlimited incoming SMS and calls, so verification codes arrive by SMS or voice call. If it doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, Google or any app you need, we replace it free within 7 days — or refund 100%.
Can I keep using the same number for Bumble?
Yes. The number is yours for as long as you keep it renewed, so you can receive codes again for new devices or account recovery.
What if I don't need the number after all?
You're covered by our 7-day replacement guarantee — if the number doesn't work with WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram or Google, we replace it free or refund 100%; plus a no-questions-asked refund if you haven't used it for any call or SMS — request a refund within 7 days of activation.
How much does it cost?
From $1.80 a month on the yearly plan (billed yearly at $21.60/year). Every plan includes unlimited incoming SMS and calls, 500 outgoing SMS and 1,000 minutes.
Can I sign up for Bumble without a phone number?
Not in the long run. Bumble says every active account must be associated with a phone number. Signing up with Facebook or Apple ID still ends with a required phone confirmation. A separate real mobile number lets you meet that requirement without using your personal SIM.
How does Bumble's call verification work with a rented number?
Pick the call option and let the automated call ring. You don't need to answer. Bumble asks for the last six digits of the calling number, which you can read from the call history in your dashboard. Incoming calls are unlimited on every plan.
What happens if I lose access to my Bumble number?
If you set up a Passkey, Facebook or Apple ID login, sign in with it and change the number. Without one, Bumble says it can't recover the account and can only delete it at your request.
Why won't Bumble let me change my phone number?
Bumble asks for a secondary login method first. Add a Passkey, Facebook or Apple ID, then change the number under Settings → Security and Privacy → Ways you can log in.
Does Bumble ever phone me for support?
No. Bumble says its only calls are automated verification calls, whose caller number holds your code. Any other caller asking for a code isn't Bumble.
